Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of TLH Enrichment Foundation is composed of dedicated leaders who are deeply committed to empowering youth and strengthening our community. Bringing together experience in education, nonprofit leadership, business, and community advocacy, the Board provides strategic direction, governance, and oversight to ensure the Foundation remains mission-driven and impactful. Through thoughtful stewardship and a shared passion for enrichment and opportunity, the Board helps guide TLH Enrichment Foundation toward sustainable growth and meaningful, lasting change.

President: Dr. John T. Farlik, PMP/ACP

Dr. Farlik is a Program Manager with SPX FLOW located in Ballantyne, NC and has served in many structural and leadership roles throughout his career. He is a veteran who served as an Electronic Warfare Officer and Program Manager in the Department of Defense and Air Force in both acquisitions and operational capacities. Dr. Farlik is also an adjunct professor and dissertation mentor with Liberty University Online, where his areas of specialization are quality, project/program management, and operations.


Vice President: Christine Stublaski

Christine has dedicated over 30 years to early childhood education, beginning her journey at age 17 and earning an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has an esteemed history of working in Charlotte's first 5-star accredited schools and has also served in church leadership roles, including Assistant Director of Faith Formation. Alongside her husband of over 30 years, with whom she shares a daughter currently pursuing an Early Childhood Education degree at Appalachian State, she enjoys gardening and hosts a nature-rich summer camp. Christine was the inaugural teacher hired at The Learning Habitat, and now contributes as Vice President on the TLH Enrichment Foundation board, driven by a commitment to non-traditional, individualized, and outdoor-focused learning.

Board Secretary: Rebekah (Beckye) Francis-Barnes

Rebekah (Beckye) is a South Carolina attorney and public servant, currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender with a strong focus on due process and client-centered advocacy for individuals with disabilities and neurodivergence. Her commitment to disability rights is deeply informed by her personal experience as the parent of two twice exceptional (2e) children, leading her to navigate complex special education compliance issues. Prior to public defense, she founded an educational advocacy practice and clerked in disability law. Francis-Barnes earned her Juris Doctor in May 2025 and is actively engaged in legal education related to disability and civil rights. She is a founding board member and Secretary of TLH Enrichment Foundation and a founding member of PACE Academy, a dyslexia-focused public charter school, reflecting her belief that effective advocacy requires legal rigor and a commitment to advancing equity and inclusion within the justice and education systems.

Board Treasurer: Erin Maldonado

 is an education developer and learning strategist with degrees in Education from UNCC and Montreat College, who began her career teaching in public schools and developing ESL curricula. She founded the NorthGroup Academy to provide a dynamic platform for professional development and business growth, establishing industry-leading Business Development Academies focused on skills, strategies, systems, and mindset for long-term success. In addition to her role in education, she offers strategic business consulting to help organizations implement structure, increase productivity, and build sustainable, high-performing teams. At the core of her approach is a commitment to groundbreaking learning strategies that foster critical thinking, adaptability, and collaboration, recognizing education as a catalyst for meaningful change. She is married to Diego, has three children who have been part of The Learning Habitat, and is passionate about helping students and families access educational paths aligned with their individual needs and strengths.
